The Allocation module helps you meet your commitments and maximize your shipments by allocating inventory to the right customers orders. Since everything in TAMS is instantly updated, you always know you are working with the latest order and inventory information.

Main Features

Allocation Rules - Each time you are ready to allocate, you can specify the rules that determine who gets shipped and who does not. The allocation rules include the date orders were received, order cancellation dates, customer priority, and other key criteria.

Allocation Method - You have the option of allocating goods by style if you can ship individual styles or by order if you have to ship coordinates.

Automatic Allocation - You can automatically assign goods to orders based on the allocation rules you defined. TAMS matches available inventory against orders and tries to maximize your shipments. When it is done, a detailed report is printed that lets you review TAMS' suggestions and override any that you don't like.

Reserve Inventory - Inventory can be reserved without having to physically hospitalize the goods. TAMS flags the inventory as reserved so that it can't be allocated to another order and is available when you are ready to ship.

Picking Documents - You have the option of printing either picking tickets or pre-bills, depending on how you want to operate. In either case, they can be used both as picking slips and shipping documents. You have the additional option of printing consolidated picking slips. You also have the option of by-passing the allocation process and printing picking documents directly from the open orders.

Substitution - During the allocation process, TAMS lets you maximize your shipments by substituting styles, colors and sizes. You have the option of notifying customers of any substitution or, not notifying them and printing the style that was originally ordered on shipping documents and invoices.
