The Order Processing module is specifically designed for the efficient entry and processing of a high volumes of sales orders. TAMS' data entry features minimize the time and effort required to handle input. Its inquiry system lets you instantly see the exact status of customer orders from the time they are entered to the time they are shipped and invoiced.

Main Features

Soundex - You no longer have to look up customer account numbers before entering orders. TAMS' unique Soundex feature lets you enter the customer's name or a spelling that sounds like the name and Soundex will immediately find it. For example, you can enter J.C. Penney as Penney, Peny or even Pny and Soundex will find it.

Data Validation - Wherever possible, TAMS validates vital information to make sure it is entered correctly. Customers, styles, colors and many other pieces of information are checked against master files to make sure they are valid before the data is accepted.

Duplicate Orders - You don't have to worry about entering the same order twice. When you enter an order, TAMS checks to see if the customer's order number has already been entered and warns you if it has.

Distribution Orders - You enter the style, color and size breakdown on a distribution order only once in TAMS, and then just enter the stores that breakdown goes to. There is no need to re-enter the breakdown for each store.

Inquiries - TAMS lets you get at your information in seconds and look at it in whatever detail you need. You can get an overview on a customer or style and see the details of what a customer ordered, what was picked and what was shipped. Your customer service personnel can answer customer questions in seconds. They can look up orders by customer number, your order number or the customer's order number. There is no need for time consuming, expensive research and call backs.

Reports - TAMS gives you a wide variety of reports that can be run for any time period you specify. If the standard reports are not enough, you can use the report generator to get the ones you need.
