The Raw Materials module is designed to give you complete control over your raw materials purchases and inventory. By giving you information on your commitments, inventory and requirements, TAMS can substantially reduce your inventory costs and minimize the risks of being caught with too much or too little goods.

Main Features

Purchasing - TAMS helps you track raw materials purchases from contracts, to purchase orders to receipt of goods. From the time you place a contract for greige goods to the final receipt of piece goods, you will know exactly what you have purchased, where it is located, and how much it cost.

Raw Material Deliveries - Not only do you know your inventory position, but TAMS also tracks your scheduled deliveries. You can see what is on order and when you can expect to receive it.

Inventory Control - TAMS gives you the ability to track your raw materials at whatever level of detail you require, all the way down to case/piece numbers.

Multiple Locations - TAMS also provides for multiple inventory locations so that you know what is in your warehouses, what is on bill-and-hold at mills and what is at your contractors. You can transfer goods between locations whenever you what.

Material Costing - Depending on your bookkeeping needs, TAMS lets you cost raw materials on a FIFO, LIFO or standard cost basis. Detailed cost information is available by inventory location and receiving number.

Material Requirements Planning (MRP) - The MRP report tells you exactly what piece goods and other raw materials you need and when you need them. By looking at the delivery dates of your orders, the time you need to manufacture and the lead time required for purchasing piece goods, the MRP report projects your raw material requirements in total and for specified periods. You don't have to guess at what you will need, TAMS tells you.
